Clinical Services Director

Create and support holistic wellness and a person-centred care philosophy, vision and strategies. Establish a unified care operation that is person-centred and evidence based. Be the chief scout, evaluator, facilitator and implementer of emerging best practice and trend to a position of industry leadership through the success of clinical strategy and programs. Implement a vision for interdisciplinary professional practice and a dynamic continuous learning environment. Develop the clinical philosophy and practice of geographically diverse operations within multiple health authorities that aligns to a single, unified model of care. Create clinical services programs and an overarching policy framework. Support the accreditation process. Create core elements of preventative care and wellness programs. Develop indicators of wellness and care. Support the creation of Spiritual Care Programs integrated with our wellness model and clinical services programs. Facilitate clinical integration within care disciplines. Evaluate the cost/benefit realities. Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance. Act as a Baptist Housing Ambassador, enhances the image and reputation of Baptist Housing in all interactions with Team Members, Residents, visitors, partners, and the public. This is a new position created to help us manage the impact of growth. Reports to the COO Enhanced Living Communities; key relationships with regional and senior leadership teams. The location of this role will be Delta, Victoria or Kelowna. Demonstrated ability to gain support for change and continuous improvements.

  • Facilitator/collaborator who builds team alignment to shared vision and a demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in key health care environments: Health Care Leadership, Residential Care, Assisted Living and Acute Care (preferred).
  • Project Management Experience.
  • Program Creation Experience, (i.e. wound care, diabetes, pain management and falls prevention).
  • Presentation development skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Public Speaking / Presentation Skills.
  • Familiarity with Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
  • Preparation and experience in proposal writing; policy development; project development; risk management; mediation; investigation and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with and experience in accrediting health care facilities (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40% of schedule).
