Communities of Care

Meeting seniors’ evolving needs under one roof.

The Communities of Care model is an innovative new development in retirement living. These senior living communities, sometimes called “Campuses of Care”, offer more than one kind of senior housing and various levels of senior care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Residential Care. As seniors’ health needs change, they can transition from one level of care to the next without having to relocate.

Communities of Care are ideal for spouses who require different levels of senior care. They might not be able to share a suite, but in the same residence they can be just down the hall from each other and share in activities and meals everyday!

Baptist Housing operates three Communities of Care in Kelowna with a combination of Independent Living with Support Services, Assisted Living and Residential Care suites. Some of the suites are private pay, others are subsidized, and still others are fully funded.
