Living Well ~ at Marrion Village, living well means a warm community environment where assistance with the activities of daily living are provided under your Vancouver Island Health Authority personal care services plan.
Your comfortable suite provides the independence and privacy to enjoy life with a supportive care team available to assist you when you need us. Marrion Village is nestled in Oak Bay, between convenient shopping and the Oak Bay Recreation Centre.
The Vancouver Island Health Authority refers prospective Assisted Living residents to Marrion Village. Please contact your local Home and Community Care office for assessment and referral.
This renovated property was built in 1976 and has been renovated most recently in 2007 - we offer 50 Assisted Living suites and a guest suite. (see news story).
Suites & Amenities:

Kitchen, with fridge, stove, cupboards and counter space to prepare your own breakfast.

Our average suites are 549 square feet.

Living room with room for your sofa, chair, coffee table, and TV.

Bedroom sized for up to a queen sized bed. Some bedrooms include a walk-in closet.

Walk-in shower with bench seats provides support and safety as care staff assist with your bathing needs. (No bathtubs)

Lounges, library, dining room and kitchen, laundry rooms and one guest suite.

Computers with Internet access.

Outdoor Putting Green.

Spa tub room is also available as approved by the VIHA Case Manager.
Hospitality Services:

Lunch, Supper, morning coffee, and afternoon tea served daily.

Weekly housekeeping and flat linen (bed sheets and towels) laundry service.

Coin-operated washers and dryers for resident personal laundry are available, and our care team would be pleased to assist you if arranged in advance as approved by the VIHA Case Manager.
Personal Care Services Plan:

Assistance with the activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming and bathing and medication management as approved by the Vancouver Island Health Authority.

Other health and personal support services include a 24-hour emergency response system and personal support.
Social Activities:

Our residents get involved in a variety of activities, which have included games, puzzles, bus trips, chair fitness, walking, pet therapy, movie nights, and numerous other special events.
- Special activities are arranged to celebrate special holiday seasons and often include a potluck meal.
- Specialty themed dinners each month in the Dining Room.

Our Chaplain offers services and Bible studies, and is available to visit residents in their homes or hospital.
