About The Role
You’ll take a comprehensive and person-centred approach to program leadership. You will craft tailored activity programs that cater to the diverse needs of residents, aligning with the Baptist Housing model of wellness. This will involve setting annual goals and objectives, curating monthly activity calendars, and contributing to newsletters. You’ll actively engage in organizing, conducting, and participating in programs and activities, including driving the Baptist Housing bus for external activities. In addition to facilitating residents' smooth transitions into the community and establishing individualized activity plans, you will continuously assess and adjust these plans through ongoing observation and input from team members. You’ll also foster relationships within the Shannon Oaks community, providing mentorship and support to the activity department team. You will ensure effective scheduling and workload distribution among team members, collaborate closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to manage volunteers, and maintain awareness of community resources. Financial management is also crucial, as you will manage the monthly budget for the Activity Department, diligently tracking and reporting all expenditures. You will also actively promote a culture of well-being, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with safety regulations. You will monitor and enforce safety protocols, provide training to volunteers and consultants as needed, and maintain an adequate level of departmental supplies.
