HR Assistant - (Temporary Full-Time)
Baptist Housing is looking for a Temporary Full Time Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Kelowna. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative elements of established Human Resources processes for multiple residences in a Seniors Housing, healthcare environment. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, and working as a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Assistant ensures the accurate and timely delivery of administrative services to Team Members.
The Human Resources Assistant supports recruitment and hiring practices and coordination of orientation; ensures accurate tracking of all Team Member information and management of all human resources electronic and personnel files; coordinates all benefits for Team Members; produces a variety of reports from various data sources; develops and delivers a variety of documents including letters, spreadsheets and forms; monitors and delivers timely compensation and benefit changes; assists with Disability Management and the regional Health and Safety programs; participates in the planning and coordination of various Team events and recognition initiatives; and provides assistance to the Manager and Administrators on a variety of HR related tasks and projects.

You must have a strong background in administration, exceptional computer skills, and the ability to work with autonomy and as a committed member of a team. You are able to be a critical thinker, have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, are highly organized and able to manage time, workload and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently. You have the ability to see the big picture and, knowing all of the processes, know what must be done without direction.
The Human Resources Assistant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in administration. Knowledge of HR practices is preferred and an understanding of the healthcare environment is an asset. This position is Full time excluded from Monday to Friday.
