As the Rehabilitation Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting team education and ensuring regular monitoring of equipment and walking aides as directed by the Therapist. Collaborating closely with the Therapist, you'll provide valuable input for developing care plans that prioritize the highest quality of care for our residents. 

Requirements

  • Completion of a Rehab Assistant Diploma or Program

  • Current First Aid certification

  • Preference will be given to candidates with either at least on year of recent related experience, or an equivalent blend of education, training and experience. 

About The Role

As the Rehabilitation Assistant, you'll collaborate closely with our Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations. Your responsibilities include managing daily emails and therapy consultations, executing interventions as directed by therapists, and assisting residents with various activities like lifting and positioning. You'll also play a crucial role in observing and reporting any changes in therapeutic programs, maintaining equipment and fostering a culture of safety within the team. Additionally, you'll uphold Baptist Housing values in all interactions and perform any other duties assigned, contributing your strengths to support the team's goals. 

Situated on Taylor Way and Inglewood Avenue, our Inglewood community is just moments down the road from Ambleside Park, Capilano Park and Capilano River Regional Park. 

About You

You thrive in independent work settings, consistently achieving strong individual and team results. You have a deep understanding and practical application of best practices in resident therapy, ensuring high-quality therapy delivery. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable seamless interactions with residents and colleagues. You are proficient in both verbal and written English, adept at problem-solving, and skilled in time management and organization. Your knowledge of aging, cognitive function, and diseases allows you to handle complex medical situations effectively. Your diverse strategies cater to residents with different diagnoses, demonstrating your dedication to personalized rehabilitation

Compensation and Benefits

A collaborative and supportive work culture that fosters growth and success with a total compensation of $36.19 per hour.
