Baptist Housing is looking for a temporary part-time Assisted Living Registered Nurse to join our Team at Hallmark on the Park in Abbotsford.  The Registered Nurse is a member of an egalitarian team expected to work collaboratively to support a person-centered, wellness model of care.

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care, ongoing assessments care and service planning, collaborates with Residents, family members and other health care providers as required; responds to Resident needs/concerns in a timely fashion, completes incident reports as required.

The Registered Nurse supports the Assisted Living Wellness Team Coordinator with the Administrator and Manager of Human Resources in hiring, scheduling and maintaining an adequate number of the appropriate Team Members to ensure safe Resident care and service.  The Registered Nurse helps foster the building of a healthy strong Team, providing leadership, supervision, education, and motivation to Team Members in achieving personal and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English; verbally and written.

  • Completion of a recognized training program for Registered Nurses and currently licensed with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)
  • Courses or certification in Gerontology
  • Courses or Certification in Business or Healthcare Administration
  • Current certification in first aid – Community Care
  • Experience in supervising and managing the performance of Team Members.
  • Experience coordinating services within a seniors’ Assisted Living community or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
