Long Term Care Administrator

Baptist Housing is looking for a Long-Term Care Administrator to join our Team at our Heights at Mt. View location in Victoria, BC.

The Administrator is committed to achieving Baptist Housing’s mission, compelled by the values of Jesus Christ, to provide exceptional services where seniors experience life well in our Long-Term Care residence The Heights at Mt. View, through spiritual care and operational leadership.

The Heights at Mt. View is a 7-storey, 260 suite Long-Term Care residence in Saanich, BC. As a complex care residence, The Heights at Mt. View offers 24/7 Long-Term Care in Victoria. With a design that exceeds operational requirements, this residence is inspired by the individuals who call the community home.

This innovative project is part of a regional plan and partnership with the Province of British Columbia, the Vancouver Island Health Authority, the Capital Regional hospital District and Baptist Housing to replace obsolete long-term care facilities in the Capital Region, and provide more care and housing options for the growing senior population.

The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations; providing leadership and strategic direction that results in a high level of service and care for all Residents in alignment with Baptist Housing’s vision, goals and strategic planning initiatives, in a person-centered culture. The Administrator is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, team members, partners, and all stakeholders including regulatory authorities, associations and agencies.

Qualifications

As an ambassador of Baptist Housing, you have exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, the ability to foster and maintain relationships, while modelling our values in all interactions. The Administrator is highly service oriented, has a focus on achieving goals, and is able to work independently and as a collaborative team member.  You have highly developed literacy skills with proven ability to plan and produce a broad range of professional and polished documents.  You are a critical thinker and problem solver, detailed and organized, and able to manage your time, workload and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently.

Experience leading large teams within complex union environments. A minimum of five years’ experience coordinating services in an administration/management capacity within a Long-Term Care, hospitality or service setting.  A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized school of Nursing, Health Care Administration or Therapeutic field of Gerontology. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
