Baptist Housing provides communities and exceptional care to over 2800 seniors in British Columbia. We provide Residential Care, Assisted Living, Supportive Housing, Home Support and Adult Day Programs at our residences in Kelowna, Vancouver and Victoria. Smith Creek Village has been serving the residents of West Kelowna since 1992. The renovated and expanded building has evolved over the years, to better serve the seniors who call it home. Many members of our Smith Creek team have more than 20 years of service, and they can accomplish just about anything when they work together!
Reporting to the Administrator, the Resident Care Assistant is responsible for meeting Resident needs through support of their activities of daily living. You must be personable, efficient and diligent in providing individualized care to our Residents, and are responsible for communicating Resident progress, attendance and changes in physical and cognitive functioning. As an ambassador of Baptist Housing, you have exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to foster and maintain relationships, and model our values in all interactions.
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant Program
- Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
- A great sense of humour
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work variable shifts
- Consent for a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with Vulnerable Adults
- COVID Vaccination
