Victoria - Director of Long Term Care

Baptist Housing has an exceptional leadership opportunity for a Director of Long Term Care to join our Team at The Heights at Mount View in Victoria, BC. The Director of Long Term Care is responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of clinical resources, services, and programs at the Heights at Mt View. The Director ensures services reflect the Baptist Housing Wellness Model for person-centered care, and result in an environment that supports and respects the wellness, independence, autonomy, dignity and privacy of our Residents. Duties include, the day to day coordination and supervision of clinical program delivery; labour relations and progressive discipline; hiring and performance management of Team Members; admissions and discharges; and participation in training, occupational health and safety and return to work programs, strategic planning, accreditation, quality management, policy and process development, investigations, and conflict and dispute resolution. The Director provides leadership, vision, direction, support, motivation and oversight to all Team Members and manages the performance and development of direct reports.

The successful candidate must hold a recognized Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree and be a member in good standing of BCCNP. A Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred. A strong clinical background and minimum of two year's nursing experience in geriatrics is required. A minimum of five years working experience in leadership, management / administration in an unionized Residential Care environment is required. Successful candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
