Join us for an evening of melody at Shannon Oaks Oak Bay on September 12 at 7.00pm.This complimentary concert  is open to all and will showcase vocals by Diane Pancel and piano by Morry Stearns.

Biographies

Vocalist Diane Pancel draws inspiration from her Portuguese background giving her music a strong sense of international soul. This year Diane has been nominated for 2 International Portuguese Music Awards – best pop performance and song of the year.  Since winning the 2010 Amway international talent show, Diane has gone on to work with such artists as David Foster, Nelly Furtado, Leanne Rimes, Matt Dusk, Louise Rose, and the late Linton Garner. Also a national anthem specialist, Diane has performed all across the U.S. at major sporting events. In addition to her career as a performer and recording artist, Diane has an impressive portfolio of commercial vocal work. Her voice has been featured on nearly 300 radio and TV advertisements. Diane is also an accomplished vocal coach, and recently contributed to the book The Ultimate Guide to Singing produced by TC-Helicon.

As a well-established recording artist and songwriter, Morry Stearns [piano] has released CDs in North America and Japan.  Morry has appeared in concert with artists as diverse as Kenny Loggins, Bryan Adams, Michael Bolton, Julio Iglasias and Michael McDonald . He performed with Celine Dion, David Foster and the NAC Symphony Orchestra in a Royal Command Performance for Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1991.  He wrote and performed the closing song for the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, appearing before a television audience of over 400 million people.  As a songwriter, Morry's compositions have been recorded by Peabo Bryson and by Keizo Nakanishi in Japan.
