Golden Star Award Winner!

The BC Retired Teachers' Association Excellence in Public Education Committee met in April to perform the challenging task of adjudicating the applications for the 2018 Golden Star Awards. The Senior Buddies program that takes place at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna was nominated by Ms. Suanne Miles a South Rutland Elementary School teacher. 

The Committee looked for applications that particularly developed rich and transforming relationships between students and seniors in their communities and the Senior Buddies Program won!
